CURATE

Children’s Club, the exhibition for children’s lifestyle collections, has been reimagined for the upcoming event Aug. 5 though 7 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York.

The show features approximately 550 exhibitors of children’s brands from newborn to age 12.

This August, the show will introduce a new destination, Curate, which will focus on elevated children’s collections from the spring 2019 season.

“Our mission for 2018-19 is to build the momentum behind the children’s wear market and unify the children’s community on both a domestic and global scale,” said Shawn Hazan, vice president and brand director of UBM Fashion. “The launch of Curate is the first step in developing more aspirational neighborhoods that continue our mission to reimagine the children’s market.

“The area will offer our retailers a platform for exploration, discovery and networking with an elevated selection of well-merchandised brands. We’re launching Curate with over 45 internationally inspired collections in August, an unprecedented representation for Children’s Club.”

Curate @ Children’s Club will be highlighted as a neighborhood at the entrance to the show. The area will feature brands from Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Romania, the U.K., Denmark, Belgium, Sweden, the U.S., Canada and Turkey. Among them are 3 Pommes, Kenzo, Lil’ Lemons by For Love & Lemons, Petite Coco and Tartine et Chocolat.

Among other features at the show will be The Classroom @ Children’s Club, an ongoing education experience designed to address important topics impacting the children’s community. There will also be a round table conversation on Aug. 5 for brands and buyers that will include Ash Vasanji of Heaven, Carmel, Calif. Jennifer Romis of Ron Robinson in Los Angeles, and Katie Wilson of Garage in Scottsdale, Ariz.  A conversation Aug. 6 will include a discussion and Q & A with a panel of bloggers, retail and design influencers. It will be moderated by Lauren Zodel of the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Another new feature is Fresh @ Children’s Club, where more than 100 new, emerging and never seen before collections at market, will be exhibited.
